Don't ask him questions, as he don't like it and feel pressurized.
Simply trust your feelings. He is good that he tries to please you, eventhough for those answers you won't like. So just keep silent. He will say whatever he feels to say, and respect his secrets and space.
In the end, you are not so sure about him as well. So just be more relax and be less concerned. Let things flow.
